How to install BOWTT
- Open the downloaded BOWTT APK.
- If Android asks for permission to install apps from this source, open Settings.
- Allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps, then return to the APK.
- Tap Install and wait for installation to finish.
- Open BOWTT from your home screen.
Security: only install the BOWTT APK downloaded from bowtt.com. Android may show an extra warning for apps installed outside Google Play.
On iPhone, BOWTT installs from Safari as a Home Screen app. It takes about 20 seconds.
- Open bowtt.com in Safari, the blue compass icon.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (or at the top right on iPad).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen . If you don't see it, scroll further or tap Edit Actions.
- Keep the name BOWTT and tap Add at the top right.
- Open BOWTT from your Home Screen, not from Safari, and log in.
- When asked, tap Allow for notifications so you get trip updates even when BOWTT is closed.
Good to know: notifications on iPhone need iOS 16.4 or newer and only work when BOWTT was added to the Home Screen and opened from its icon. If you did not see the Allow prompt, open iPhone Settings → Notifications → BOWTT and turn them on.
